Compare itemized quotes
Ask each provider to separate clinician fees, anesthesia, facility fees, tests, implants or materials, medication, and follow-up. Add transport, accommodation, meals, a companion, and potential extra visits to your own budget.
Confirm payment and cancellation terms
Get the currency, payment recipient, deposit amount, cancellation terms, and refund process in writing. Ask what happens if the clinical assessment changes the treatment plan or the procedure cannot go ahead.
Verify insurance and financing independently
Do not assume that your insurer, health spending account, or lender will cover care abroad. Request a written answer from the organization responsible for your plan. Confirm that the specific provider and treatment in Mexico are accepted before applying.
Budget for the unexpected
Ask how unplanned hospital nights, complications, additional treatment, and a delayed return are charged. A lower procedure quote can be outweighed by costs excluded from the package.
